A2 Exam Question 1(a) - Specific Examples, Evaluation, and Progress


Here are key sections of the Level 4 standard answer to question 1(a) we looked at in class.  These sections show how specific the examples from your production work should be, the way you should evaluate the effect of these examples, and how you link them to a discussion of progress.

AS and A2 Revision

One of the best methods of preparing for your exam is to complete exam questions from past papers.
All the past papers on this page of the OCR website, along with mark schemes and examiners' reports.

Year 12 you need to look for G322 Key Media Concepts - TV Drama (the paper will include the institutions question as well).  Year 13 your paper is G325 Critical Perspectives in Media.

Create a fact sheet of key facts and figures you can use in the exam.

A2 Homework week beginning 22/4/13

Choose one of the key theorists for the Collective Identity topic.

Write a paragraph explaining their ideas.

Apply these ideas to 3 different media texts we have studied for the Collective Identity topic.  Make sure you link the ideas to specific points about the media texts, and explain clearly how the theory relates to the media text.

Explain whether you think the theorist's view point is right or wrong, and why you think this.

Homework due Monday 29th of April for 13b, Tuesday 30th of April for 13d.

A2 Collective Identity Homework

Choose one of the media texts we have studied for the Collective Identity topic and write an analysis of how it represents young people.  Include specific examples from the text, and reference to relevant theorists.
